Frank de Jong coaches CEOs and founders to become more effective leaders and build the organizations required to achieve their ambitions. Drawing on more than 33 years of global business leadership experience, he helps leaders translate strategic ambition into organizational capability, disciplined execution, and lasting enterprise value.
The operator behind the coach
Frank believes that as businesses grow, CEOs must evolve alongside them. The leadership approach that helped build a successful company may not be the one required to take it to the next level. Growth brings greater complexity, tougher decisions, and increasing demands on the organization. The CEO’s ability to develop leaders, create clarity, establish accountability, and build a business that performs beyond any one individual becomes critical.
Before becoming a coach, Frank spent more than three decades with Emerson, holding senior leadership positions across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. He led businesses and P&Ls ranging from $5 million to more than $5 billion, gaining extensive experience in strategy, profitable growth, sales, operations, organizational development, and business transformation.
Today, Frank brings that operating experience to his coaching relationships. He works with CEOs to clarify where they want to take their businesses, challenge assumptions, make better strategic choices, and develop the leadership teams and operating discipline required to deliver results.
His approach is practical, candid, and grounded in curiosity. Frank understands the pressures of leading a business, but he also recognizes that the most important decisions must remain with the CEO. Rather than providing answers or stepping into the role of consultant, he asks the questions that help leaders see their businesses differently, strengthen their judgment, and take ownership of meaningful change.
Frank also works with executive leadership teams through strategic planning, leadership development, and organizational alignment. His focus is on connecting the company’s ambitions to a few clear priorities, capable leaders, and a consistent rhythm of execution and accountability.
Whether working with an entrepreneurial founder preparing to scale or an established CEO navigating the next stage of growth, Frank’s objective remains the same: helping CEOs become better leaders and build stronger, more valuable businesses.
Frank and his family call Austin, TX home, spending time in Breckenridge, CO whenever they can. He is happily married to his wife, Ashley. They have three fabulous children and are obsessed with their puppy, Dutch. Frank enjoys keeping fit with skiing, running, playing soccer, gardening, and landscaping. During the pandemic, he got to use a Bobcat on his front lawn! Obsessed with geography as a young person, he still loves traveling the world with his wife.
