Ramona weaves her passions for advocacy and entrepreneurship in all of her ventures. This is key to her 30+ year track record of delivering excellent business results for a variety of companies by leveraging strong brands or creating new ones.
Ramona is Founder and CEO of Sun Harvest Salt, L.L.C., the exclusive North American distributor of patented all-natural conventional and low-sodium sea salts. An experienced food industry executive, Ramona also founded Corazonas Foods, with a vision to put joy back into the lives of people living with high cholesterol by offering great-tasting, heart-healthy, patented cholesterol-lowering snacks. After losing her father and both grandfathers to heart disease, Ramona committed to building a caring company that took a new approach to addressing and educating Americans about heart disease.
Additionally, Ramona currently serves on the Boards of Mercury Insurance Group, and Nielsen-Massey Vanillas, and is a member of Beyond Boards, Women Corporate Directors and BoardNext, as well as a CEO Coach.
Prior to that, Ramona was a senior executive with Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, where she led the company’s growth until the sale to Hershey Foods. Additionally, she delivered outstanding results for food and beverage companies including Nestle (creating Coffee-mate Liquid Creamers), Celestial Seasonings and Kendall-Jackson Wineries.
Ramona graduated as valedictorian from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. When Ramona is not traveling the world experiencing history and gaining inspiration or spending time with her family, she spends her free time actively involved in leadership with Young Presidents Organization serving as Chapter Chair and on international committees, and on the Board of Councilors for USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and USC Kaufman School of Dance, formerly serving on the Board of Trustees for the University Southern California, and as a member of USC Associates and USC Marshall Partners.
