John is a dynamic financial services executive and business leader with a record of successfully growing multiple business units while advising private and public companies across industries. He led several investment banking and capital markets businesses for SunTrust , capping his career by leading Middle Market Banking. He subsequently ran the Atlanta banks for both BB&T and BBVA Compass .
John is a highly effective communicator with expertise in executing growth strategies while balancing risk. He successfully led units through crisis management plans after the telecom meltdown and the Financial Crisis that led to the Great Recession. He has a proven ability to drive revenue and profit growth by developing innovative strategies, attracting talent, motivating teams, managing cost, driving operational efficiencies, and facilitating cooperation among diverse coalitions within organizations.
John leverages his skills as a transformational leader and coach to assist CEOs and Executive Teams design strategies and execution plans with a roadmap for success. He has deep experience in the following:
John is an avid runner, he has completed 26 marathons and leads a marathon training team. He is also an avid bourbon collector, he leverages this passion to raise money for charities and people in need.
